TINTAGEL HAVEN CORNWALL
Beautiful and rugged Tintagel Haven below the enigmatic ruins of Tintagel castle, North Cornwall, SW England, UK. Legend suggests that Tintagel is where King Arthur was conceived by his father Uther Pendragon with Igraine, wife of Gorlois, Uther's enemy. Uther used Merlin's wizardry and deception to enter the castle disguised as Gorlois for his tryst.
The sea water is often turquoise or green reflecting the various mineral ores including copper in the coastal rocks.
These and slate were mined extensively in Victorian and prior periods. Taken on a perfect spring day one May.
